What Web Safety Resources Does the Federal Trade Commission Offer?
The Federal Trade Commission tries hard to protect consumers. As part of this effort, they've posted an article about social networking safety for teens and tweens to their website (which you can access by clicking here).
Scroll down a little further and you can see a list of links to other great Web safety sites, including many featured in this wiki.
At the very bottom of the page is a paragraph about preventing and dealing with cases of identity theft and fraud. If you suspect that you're a victim of fraud, you can visit this site or call 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357) to file a complaint. There's also a video about filing a complaint you can watch by clicking here.
