What is Ashampoo?

Ashampoo is a computer software company based in Germany. It was founded in 1999 by Rolf Hichner, who is Ashampoo's current CEO.http://www.ashampoo.com/en/usd According to the company's website, the quirky name came about when Hichner and others were discussing one of the company's first products, the UnInstaller. Hichner said the product "[cleaned] your Windows like a shampoo," and the name Ashampoo stuck. 1 Because Ashampoo is an international company, its website can be viewed in English, German, French, Dutch, Magyar, Spanish, and Chinese.2
