Keeping Up With Copyright Law
The Internet Safety Project NewswireApril 18, 2011
It's no secret that videos that violate copyright get posted on YouTube. The site does its best to patrol videos and take down illegal content as soon as possible. The site recently added a new feature which requires copyright violators to watch a tutorial and pass a copyright test before they can upload videos again. If you have any questions about what is or isn't appropriate to post (copyright-wise) the YouTube video tutorial breaks it down into simple terms. The video features a cartoon cat/pirate named Russell who is trying to upload a YouTube video. Read the article here. You can watch the copyright tutorial here.
